PixelMakers Studio and connected accounts

PixelMakers Studio (pixelmakers.com/studio) is the platform we use to run websites and growth retainers for our clients. When a client asks us to manage their social media or advertising, they connect their accounts to Studio and we process the data below on their behalf. For this data we act as a processor and the client is the controller.

Accounts that can be connected:

  • Facebook Pages and Instagram professional accounts (through Meta)
  • Meta ad accounts and datasets (Pixel and Conversions API)
  • Google Ads, Google Business Profile, Google Search Console and Google Analytics
  • The client's website and booking or ecommerce platform

What we access and why:

  • Page and Instagram account details: name, ID and profile picture, so the client can choose which account to publish to.
  • Posts we publish: the content, its publishing status and the metrics the platform reports for it (reach, impressions, engagement, clicks), so we can show the client the results.
  • Ad accounts: campaigns, ad sets, ads, budgets and performance reports, so we can create the campaigns the client approved, keep spend within the approved budget and report results.
  • Conversions: when a client's website records a booking, order or lead, we may send it to the client's own Meta dataset or Google Ads account so their ads can measure results. We send only the identifiers needed for matching, hashed where the platform requires it, and only when the visitor gave marketing consent.

We do not read private messages, do not access personal profiles beyond the person who connects the account, and do not sell data or use it to advertise to anyone else.

Access tokens: tokens that give access to connected accounts are stored encrypted and used only by Studio's servers to carry out work the client approved.

Retention: account details and tokens are kept while the account is connected. Post and ad metrics are kept for the duration of the client's contract so reports stay accurate, and are deleted within 90 days after the contract ends or when the client asks.

Disconnecting and deletion: a client can disconnect an account at any time by asking us, or by removing PixelMakers' access in Meta Business Settings or their Google account. To have all data from a connected account deleted, follow the steps at pixelmakers.com/legal/data-deletion.

Sub-processors: Studio runs on Cloudflare (hosting), Neon (database) and Anthropic (AI drafting of posts and ads, which receives brand and campaign content, not end-user personal data).
